“Sometimes Reality is too complex. Stories give it form.”

–Jean Luc Godard

Scenes from a coffee shop.

Connecting the human experience through other humans experiences.

What connects us? By “us” I mean you and your fellow homosapien. This can be your neighbor, your loved ones, or the stranger you meet in a coffee shop. We are connected by stories and experiences that might be our own on an individual level, but at some point you can see your story take form in someone else’s. Where is a better place to collect stories than in a coffee shop? I mean, a coffee shop can be the scene for first dates, business meetings, study groups, and so much more. Magic happens in a coffee shop. This magic is the human connection. So, there is no better way to share and collect stories than in a coffee shop.

In this scene, I am your local barista. I don’t only serve craft coffee, I also engage in meaningful conversations. In these conversations we share our thoughts, ideas, beliefs, emotions–we connect. Some stories, I wish to share. The beauty in storytelling–a concept as old as time–is that it makes us feel a little less alone. It inspires us. It allows us to step outside of our own little bubbles and to see the bigger picture. Grab a cup of coffee. Relax. Let’s wonder at our shared human experiences.
